Stephanie Martinez, 3, of Las Vegas, fell five stories to her death at an Anaheim hotel while on a Disneyland vacation with her family.

The incident occurred the evening of July 20, 2015 at the Embassy Suites in the 3100 block of East Frontera Street.

A California state lawmaker has proposed sweeping bus safety reforms recommended by federal officials who investigated a fiery bus crash in Northern California that killed eight people including five Los Angeles area high school students who were on a college tour.

Priscilla Vallejo, 13, was killed in a Santa Ana bicycle accident after she was struck in a crosswalk by a Santa Ana Unified School District’s box truck.

According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal crash occurred the morning of July 13, 2015 at the intersection of West Edinger Avenue and South Center Street.

Police say Vallejo was riding her bike in the crosswalk when the truck, which was making a right turn, struck her. Vallejo died at the scene. Police do not believe speed or alcohol played a role.

Two men suffered burn injuries after a propane tank they were trying to refill exploded the afternoon of July 3, 2015.

An apartment balcony collapsed early morning June 16, 2015 in downtown Berkeley, killing six people and injured at least seven others, many of them young people from Ireland who were celebrating a friend’s 21st birthday.
