According to the Los Angeles Times, California Highway Patrol officials responded to a call about a traffic collision and initially reported it to be a fatal crash caused by street racing.

Carla Skowronski, 56, was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Rancho Cucamonga after she was struck and killed while walking her dog.

Francisco Rosas Garcia, 58, was struck and killed in a Boyle Heights pedestrian accident that involved a hit-and-run driver.

According to a news report, the fatal collision occurred on the night of April 2 in the area near Whittier Boulevard and Esperanza Street. Victor Gonzales, 30, was fatally struck in a Jurupa Valley pedestrian accident where the driver reportedly fled the scene.

According to a City News Service report, the fatal collision occurred early morning on March 15 at Van Buren Boulevard north of Clay Street. Riverside County Sheriff’s Department officials said Gonzales was walking on Van Buren Boulevard when he was run over.

A woman suffered major injuries in a hit-and-run crash after being struck by a vehicle and dragged along by the driver.

According to a KTLA news report, the driver allegedly said, “I sure am” after being asked by the victim if he was going to leave the scene of the crash. The collision occurred early on the morning of Feb. 28 as the victim, 61-year-old Sandra Martin, was crossing the 100 block of East Fourth Street. A horrific hit-and-run crash involving a vehicle and bicyclist was caught on video and released by the LAPD with hopes of identifying the driver.

According to a CBS Los Angeles news report, LAPD is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the driver’s arrest.

The incident occurred on the afternoon of Jan. 16 when a 28-year-old bicyclist traveling south on Glendale Boulevard approaching Allesandro Street was rear-ended by a silver Hyundai Elantra. The bicyclist was thrown onto the street and the vehicle ran over the bicycle. Continue reading →

According to a news report in the Daily Pilot, the fatal crash occurred on the night of Jan. 20. Officials said they were called to the scene of a hit-and-run and found Smith knocked out of his wheelchair with significant injuries. The driver who struck Smith had left the scene of the crash.
