Los Angeles Police Department officials have released video footage as they seek the public’s help to identify a hit-and-run driver who killed a woman on a skateboard in Tarzana.

According to a KTLA news report, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred early morning on Sept. 14 when a silver, four-door sedan traveling southbound on Tampa Avenue south of Oxnard Street.

The vehicle collided with a pedestrian riding a skateboard that was traveling outside a marked crosswalk on Tampa. The driver of the sedan fled the vehicle going south on Tampa without stopping or rendering aid. Continue reading →

Wendy Galdamez Palma, 33, was killed and her 3-year-old son was injured in a hit and run crash in Playa Del Rey on the night of Sept. 11.

According to a CBS Los Angeles news report, Palma was struck by a dark-colored sedan while crossing Vista Del Mar to get to her vehicle. At the time, she was cradling her 3-year-old son who was taken to the hospital with injuries. He is expected to survive, but Palma died from her injuries. Continue reading →

Deanna Stuve, 48, was killed and her 50-year-old husband, Frederick, suffered major injuries in a Huntington Beach pedestrian accident, which officials say, involved a hit-and-run driver.

According to a KTLA news report, the husband and wife were crossing at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Newland Street the night of July 25 when the driver of a Nissan Altima ran a red light northbound on PCH and struck them.

Police said the pedestrians were walking in a marked crosswalk. Deanna Stuve was pronounced dead at the scene. Her husband was transported to an area hospital where he remained in critical condition. Continue reading →

A man attempting to cross a street while in a wheelchair died from injuries he suffered after a minivan and an SUV struck him early on the morning of July 10.

According to a report in The Orange County Register, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred near the intersection of Euclid Street and Warner Avenue in Fountain Valley. Police said the man in the wheelchair was trying to cross Euclid westbound along Warner Avenue when he was first struck by a minivan traveling north on Euclid and then hit by an SUV traveling north.
