In Tarzana, a woman suffered injuries after a driver struck her as she was standing next to her car. According to a KTLA news report, the pedestrian accident occurred on the afternoon of July 15 near the intersection of Etiwanda Avenue and Ventura Boulevard. LAPD officials said a four-door Chevy Spark was heading south on Etiwanda when it veered to the right side of the roadway and crashed into a vehicle and a pedestrian.
Ongoing LA Pedestrian Accident Hit-and-Run Investigation
The pedestrian was standing next to her car when the crash occurred. She suffered severe injuries, police said. The driver did not stop to help the victim or identify himself or herself. The vehicle was described as being gray and had a sticker on top of the front windshield. It may have damage to the right side.
Officials are offering a $25,000 reward for information in this case that leads to an arrest and conviction. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to LAPD call Valley traffic detectives at 818-644-8032.
