A woman was critically injured in a hit-and-run accident in Laguna Niguel early on the morning of July 9.

According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the major injury collision occurred along Crown Valley Parkway between Golden Lantern and Nueva Vista. The driver did not stop to help the victim. According to authorities, the woman was not in a crosswalk when she was hit.

Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who they say fled the scene of a crash in Canoga Park on the morning of June 28. The crash killed 20-year-old Nelson Castaneda.

According to a KTLA news report, the two-vehicle crash occurred around 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of De Soto Avenue and Vanowen Street. LAPD officials say a black Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck was traveling south on De Soto at speeds over 80 mph when it collided with a silver Lexus sedan traveling west on Vanowen. Continue reading →

Costa Mesa police are looking for a driver who struck and killed 64-year-old Linda Jean Lefler on the night of June 15.

According to a news report in The Daily Pilot, the fatal crash occurred near the intersection of Fairview Road and Baker Street. Lefler was attempting to cross Fairview just south of Baker. According to the Los Angeles Times, California Highway Patrol officials responded to a call about a traffic collision and initially reported it to be a fatal crash caused by street racing.

Victor Gonzales, 30, was fatally struck in a Jurupa Valley pedestrian accident where the driver reportedly fled the scene.

According to a City News Service report, the fatal collision occurred early morning on March 15 at Van Buren Boulevard north of Clay Street. Riverside County Sheriff’s Department officials said Gonzales was walking on Van Buren Boulevard when he was run over.
