A driver identified as 57-year-old Adrian Davis was killed and several others were injured in a Fullerton crash that involved eight vehicles. According to a CBS Los Angeles news report, the fatal crash occurred the afternoon of October 10, 2013 near the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and Valencia Mesa Drive. Police say Davis, who was driving a yellow Ford F-150 pickup truck, was traveling in the wrong direction when he swerved into lanes on Harbor and struck several vehicles that were stopped at a signal. Davis died from his injuries. Five others were injured, but the nature and extent of their injuries is not known.

At least one child was injured in a San Bernardino dog attack after a pit bull attacked two children on a neighborhood street. According to an NBC news report, the dog bite incident occurred the afternoon of October 7, 2013 in the 2400 block of North Genevieve Street. The pit bull that escaped from its owner’s yard bit the child’s thigh when a neighbor shot and killed the dog. Animal control officers were called to the scene to investigate the dog attack.

A 48-year-old man was killed in an Encino hit-and-run crash early morning on October 7, 2013. According to CBS Los Angeles, the collision occurred at the intersection of Ventura Boulevard and Gaviota Avenue. The victim was walking outside a crosswalk on westbound Ventura Boulevard when a black SUV struck him. The SUV left the scene. Police said the SUV, a 2007 to 2014 black GMC Denali with tinted windows, sustained right front-end damage near the passenger side and had a license plate beginning with “6.” The suspect, 26-year-old Grant James Valentine turned himself in the same evening. He was booked on suspicion of felony hit-and-run. This was the third hit-and-run in Los Angeles in the last three weeks.

Ryan Turner, 24, of Corona was killed in a Garden Grove motorcycle accident the afternoon of October 3, 2013. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal crash occurred near Orangewood Avenue and Monarch Street. Police say Turner was riding eastbound on Orangewood when he tried to pass a FedEx vehicle on the right.

Jorge Altisent, 78, was killed in an Irvine car accident after being struck by a car near University High School. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred at the intersection of Campus Drive and Paseo Montoya. Witnesses said Altisent ran across the roadway as he tried to cross Campus and was struck by a vehicle. The impact threw him several feet away. Altisent was transported to an area trauma center where he died from his injuries. The driver remained at the scene and no citations or arrests were reported. The investigation is ongoing.

Manuel Ayala, 26, was killed in a hit-and-run crash last week and officials are still searching for leads in his case. According to a CBS Los Angeles news report, the fatal collision occurred when Ayala was crossing Pacific Coast Highway near Wilmington Boulevard the night of September 16, 2013. Police say security footage shows several cars including a police cruiser passing Ayala as he crossed the roadway. He was hit seconds later.

Oxnard police are looking for a hit-and-run driver, who they say was involved in a pedestrian collision that killed 20-year-old Aida Reyes. According to a CBS Los Angeles news report, the fatal incident occurred the night of September 20, 2013 at the intersection of Hemlock Street and Capstan Drive in Oxnard. Officials say the vehicle was westbound on Hemlock when Reyes tried to cross in a marked crosswalk.

A man suspected of driving under the influence was arrested in connection with a hit-and-run crash in Seal Beach that seriously injured a motorcyclist. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal incident occurred early morning on September 5, 2013 at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Anderson Street. Police say motorcyclist was struck by a pickup truck. The driver of the pickup, later identified as 31-year-old Nathan Teixeira fled on foot even as the motorcyclist was down in the intersection.
