A man leaving a Sylmar pot dispensary in his car t-boned a passing vehicle, pushing that sedan into oncoming traffic and sending the husband and wife inside to a hospital with critical injuries. According to a news report in the Los Angeles Daily News, the crash occurred in the 12700 block of West Foothill Boulevard and left the couple with life-threatening injuries. It took firefighters 45 minutes to free the couple from the vehicle. They had to remove the entire top of the vehicle to extricate the injured man and woman. Police Seek Driver Who Hit and Injured Bicyclist in Simi Valley
Police are asking for the public’s help to apprehend a hit-and-run driver who they say struck and injured a bicyclist in Simi Valley earlier this month. According to a KTLA news report, Simi Valley police have released video footage of the incident where the vehicle can be seen striking the bicyclist and then leaving the scene of the accident. Police Investigating Fatal Tour Bus Accident in Los Angeles
LAPD investigators are working to determine whether a crime occurred when a casino tour bus fled the scene where he ran over and killed a pedestrian the previous day in University Park. According to a KTLA news report, the Samho Tour & Travel bus was eventually found at a storage yard in Gardena late on Jan. 10, hours after its driver fatally struck and dragged a man near the corner of Flower Street and Adams Boulevard. Pedestrian Fatally Injured in Laguna Niguel Crosswalk Accident
Joe Santos, 58, was killed in a Laguna Niguel pedestrian accident after a vehicle struck him as he was walking in a marked crosswalk. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred at the intersection of Serenity Lane and Golden Lantern Street the morning of Dec. 31. Officials have arrested a 25-year-old woman in Redlands on suspicion of driving under the influence after she crashed into another vehicle along an on-ramp on the 10 Freeway injuring herself and two others. According to a KTLA news report, the crash occurred early morning on Saturday, Dec. 22 when Alexis Calderon drove a Toyota Corolla on a westbound 10 Freeway on-ramp in the wrong direction from Orange Street southbound. Woman Severely Injured in Riverside County Dog Attack
A woman suffered serious injuries in a dog attack in her own home after three pit bulls viciously mauled her. According to an NBC Los Angeles news report, the incident occurred the morning of Dec. 15 in the 55000 block of Mitchell Road in an unincorporated area of Anza. A responding officer for the county’s Department of Animal Services described the injuries as severe. All three dogs were pit bulls or pit bull mixes. A 79-year-old La Puente man died and his 72-year-old wife was injured in a West Covina pedestrian accident when a vehicle struck the couple that was walking at a street intersection. According to a KTLA news report the incident occurred at the intersection of Fairgrove and Sunset avenues the morning of Dec. 13.
