A woman was seriously injured in a Los Angeles car accident, which officials say involved a hit-and-run driver. According to a City News Service report, the injury pedestrian collision occurred near the intersection of McKinley Avenue and 54th Street, the early morning of October 16, 2011. Officials found the victim inside a 2002 Ford Mustang, suffering from traumatic injuries.

The Ford appeared to have been in a traffic collision. The woman, who is said to be in her 20s, was transported to local hospital where she is listed in serious condition. Investigators say the woman was driving the Ford Mustang south on McKinley, when a 2001 Chevy Tahoe, heading westbound on 54th Street, struck it. The driver of the Tahoe fled the scene. Officials are asking anyone with information about the accident or the suspect to contact LAPD at 213-972-1853.

An 87-year-old woman with a walker was killed in a Los Angeles car accident after she was hit by a vehicle while crossing the driveway of a commercial parking lot. According to a report in the Whittier Daily News, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred the morning of October 13, 2011 on Imperial Highway near La Mirada Boulevard. Police say the woman was walking on the sidewalk. A vehicle that was pulling out of a commercial parking lot hit her, as she crossed the driveway. The woman died at the scene. It is not clear if the driver will be cited in connection with this fatal car accident.

Margaret Conway, 21, was killed in an Anaheim car accident after her bicycle was struck by another vehicle near Disneyland. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal bicycle accident occurred in the early hours of October 13, 2011 on Ball Road at the Interstate 5 overpass. Conway, a Disneyland employee, was riding her bike home, when a white Ford SUV hit her from behind. Conway died from her injuries at a local trauma center. The driver of the SUV is not believed to have been under the influence, officials said. An investigation is ongoing.

According to a news report in The San Gabriel Valley Tribune, the injury pedestrian accident occurred the night of October 11, 2011 at the intersection of Garvey and Jackson avenues in Rosemead. Police say the woman was walking in a crosswalk when she was struck. The driver remained at the scene. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with an injured leg. An investigation is ongoing.
