Did You Lose Your Loved One in a Motorcycle Accident?

If you have lost a loved one in a motorcycle or truck accident, you are left with the grief of losing a beloved family member and the unforeseen and sudden expenses that come with such a loss, such as funeral expenses and loss of income. In such cases, families of deceased victims may be able to file a wrongful death lawsuit against the at-fault party seeking compensation for damages such as medical costs, funeral and burial expenses, lost future income, pain and suffering, and loss of love, care and companionship.

If the accident involves a commercial truck, other parties may also be held liable for the accident, depending on the circumstances of the case. These can include the truck driver’s employer, the trucking firm, and others.

How a Truck Accident Lawyer Can Help

Our experienced California truck accident lawyers will help determine whether your loved one’s motorcycle accident was caused by a negligent driver or negligence on the part of the trucking company. For example, if your accident was caused by a mechanical malfunction such as brake failure in the truck due to lack of proper maintenance, the trucking firm and/or the company charged with the truck’s maintenance can be held liable for your losses.

It is important to remember that trucking companies have more extensive insurance policies than individual drivers in most cases. So, if you have suffered catastrophic injuries in a motorcycle accident caused by a truck driver, or if you have lost a loved one in such a tragic accident, it is crucial to reach out to an experienced personal injury lawyer who will be able to explore all possible avenues of compensation.
