Loree Glenn Begins Lifecycle Ride this Sunday

By

Mother of two from Mission Viejo, California, Loree Glenn is getting ready to begin her 545-mile bicycle trek for the Lifecycle event. On Sunday she will take-off from San Francisco and ride through California to Los Angeles. The event is designed to raise awareness of the human suffering caused by the AIDS pandemic. This is Loree’s third year participating in Lifecycle, and the third year she has been sponsored by the Newport Beach personal injury lawyers, Bisnar Chase Personal Injury Attorneys.

Lifecycle raises funds to support HIV/AIDS services provided by the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center and the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. It also strives to increase awareness of HIV/AIDS among those participating, donors, and the public.

Bisnar Chase Personal Injury Attorneys, with the help of Loree’s husband, Kevin, will monitor Loree’s progress during her ride. Photos, videos, and blog articles about her daily challenges as she travels along Highway 1 will be cataloged. With the help of Google Earth, Loree’s route will be monitored so followers can check out exactly where she is along her trek.

Loree describes the trials she has had to overcome in her previous years of Life Cycle:

“For my first ride in 2008, I went from zero bicycling experience to training for a 545-mile trip,” said Loree. “During that ride, I had problems with my knees and I ended up in the hospital with the stomach flu but I was determined to finish and I did.”

Loree has learned to train much more since her first year, and has learned of even more obstacles that can be in store for a cross-state cyclist, including tough terrain and injuries. Still, she describes the 2009 Lifecycle event as the “the most fun and rewarding experience of [her] life.”

“Loree is a testament to the power of activism and how it can make a difference in the lives of others,” said John Bisnar. “This ride is such a commitment, such a challenge and such a personal sacrifice. Not only are we in awe of Loree’s dedication to this cause, we’re extremely proud to be her corporate sponsor. We’re also very excited to monitor her progress along this grueling course.”

The Lifecycle participants will traverse California from June 6 through June 12, 2010. You can follow Loree and make a donation on her personal AIDS/Lifecycle web page.
