Esther F. Kumasaka, 82, was killed in a Huntington Beach car accident, which officials say, involved two vehicles. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal car accident occurred the morning of November 5, 2011 at the intersection of Bushard Street and Adams Avenue. Police report Kumasaka was a passenger in one of the vehicles. The driver of the vehicle in which Kumasaka was a passenger was also injured, but the extent of his injuries is not known. Officials are still investigating the cause of this two-vehicle crash.

Two adults and two children were severely injured in a Santa Ana car accident after a Volvo sedan plowed into a group of pedestrians at a street intersection. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the major injury collision occurred the afternoon of November 3, 2011 at the intersection of Civic Center Drive and Spurgeon Street. Santa Ana police say two women were pushing strollers across Civic Center Drive when the westbound Volvo struck the pedestrians. The car landed on top of a 3-year-old girl and struck the two women as well as a 1-year-old boy. One other pedestrian, a 5-year-old boy, was not struck.

Four Covina teenagers were injured in a Los Angeles car accident, which police report, involved an underage drunk driver. According to a report in The Glendale News-Press, the DUI crash occurred on Honolulu Avenue at Ocean View Boulevard in Glendale, during the early morning hours of October 30, 2011. Officials say Eric Corona, 19, was under the influence of alcohol when the vehicle he was driving struck a large tree. He was arrested on suspicion of felony driving under the influence. Corona was not hurt but his four female passengers suffered serious injuries including dislocated hip, broken arms, a spine fracture, a compression fracture, and a cut to the head.

Robert S. Johnson, 41, was killed in a Riverside car accident after he was struck by an SUV while crossing the road, the evening of October 31, 2011. According to a news report in The Press Enterprise, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred on Arlington Avenue near Lake Street. Johnson was transported to an area hospital where he died. Officials do not believe that alcohol or drugs were factors in this fatal collision. An investigation is ongoing. Anyone who saw this incident is asked to contact Riverside police at 951-826-8723.

Samuel Suh, 76, was killed in a Santa Ana car accident after he was struck by a vehicle while crossing at a street intersection. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred the morning of October 31, 2011 at the intersection of 15th Street and North Van Ness Avenue. Suh was at the intersection when he was struck, but officials are still looking into whether he was walking in a crosswalk. Suh was transported to a local trauma center where he died. The driver remained at the scene. No arrests were made. An investigation is ongoing.

Three children were struck and injured in a Los Angeles car accident, which officials say, involved a hit-and-run driver. According to a City News Service report, the injury collision occurred the evening of October 29, 2011 in the 100 block of East 47th Street. Police say the three siblings – two boys, ages 4 and 6, and their sister, 11 – were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
