Makeda More, 30, was killed in a Bellflower hit-and-run crash. More, a mother of two young children, was struck and killed while crossing near the Lakewood Boulevard and Los Angeles Street the night of July 25, 2015.
Officials performed CPR on More at the scene before she was transported to a hospital and pronounced dead.
Her family is pleading for witnesses to come forward with information and help find the driver.
The driver was last seen fleeing south on Lakewood. The vehicle has been described as a dark-colored Nissan with substantial damage to the front bumper and windshield.
Anyone with information about the suspect or the vehicle is asked to contact the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Lakewood Station Traffic Detail at 562-623-3500.

Based on this news report, it appears that the driver of the vehicle struck More and sped away leaving her lying in the roadway, exposed to further danger.
Outrageous!
Not only is leaving the scene of a crash inhumane and irresponsible, but it is also illegal.
Under California Vehicle Code Section 20001 (a), motorists must stop immediately at the scene of the crash, wait until authorities arrive, exchange pertinent information with all parties involved and most importantly, render aid to the injured.
Drivers must stop regardless of who is at fault. In this particular case, the driver did none of the above, but fled leaving the fatally injured victim behind.
