Newport Beach Personal Injury Attorneys Support Kristie’s Foundation

By

The personal injury lawyers of Bisnar Chase Personal Injury Attorneys have announced their recent participation in the 2010 Orange County Barbecue Festival, also known as “Que’n for Kids” . The firm supported Kristie’s Foundation during this event, which is designed to help raise funds for critically ill children and their families.

The event was held at the Orange County Fairgrounds on Saturday June 12. Kristie’s Foundation, a non-profit, organized this annual event to raise funds for the programs and services it provides for critically ill children.

Staff members from Bisnar Chase Personal Injury Attorneys volunteered at the festival by giving away gifts and prizes to those who came. A grand prize drawing awarded an Apple iPad to a lucky winner while other event activities like a rib eating contest, car show, barbeque competition, and the “Mr. BBQ” Pageant kept other attendees smiling and full.

“When a child is critically ill, it takes a significant emotional toll on the family,” said John Bisnar of the Newport Beach personal injury law firm. “Kristie’s Foundation gives families hope when it seems they have none. That’s why we felt it was so important to be a part of this event. We look forward to participating in next year’s event and providing our support in any way we can, to help such an important cause.”

It was the firm’s first time participating in this event, but Bisnar explains that they plan to be involved annually due to the important work Kristie’s Foundation accomplishes.

The Family Support program, run by Kristie’s Foundation, provides emergency funds and emotional support to families during difficult moments in treatments or surgeries, while the Kids Club helps to provide fun activities for families. Kristie’s Wish-Assist program teams up with wish-granting organizations, theme parks, and children’s hospice groups in order to facilitate for a family traveling to Southern California for a Wish Trip.

Kristie’s Foundation is currently raising money to open Kristie’s Place, the first ever children’s end-of-life care facility in Los Angeles. This center will feature medically-equipped family suites, a fireside room, an arts and activities room, a petting zoo, a reflection room, and a memorial garden.
