Mission Viejo mother, Lorraine Glenn, is gearing up for the AIDS/LifeCycle event, a rigorous and demanding seven day journey down the California coast. The 545-mile stretch will begin this Sunday in San Francisco and end in Los Angeles. Lorraine has set out on this journey to help end the pandemic and human suffering caused by AIDS.
The AIDS/LifeCycle ride raises funds to support services provided by the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center and San Francisco AIDS Foundation to HIV/AIDS victims.
Lorraine’s sponsor Bisnar Chase Personal Injury Attorneys will be working with her husband, Kevin, to monitor and report her progress along the arduous course. Photos, video, and blog articles will be added daily to report her grueling fight as she pushes herself over hundreds of miles of California’s beautiful countryside.

This year will be Lorraine’s third time to travel the backbreaking journey. Her two teenage sons and husband will be there to support Lorraine throughout the extremely physical and mental ride to raise funds for a great cause.
Lorraine learned just how difficult this trip is on her first journey in 2008. She had problems with her knees and ended up in the hospital with the stomach flu. Despite her injuries she was determined to finish and did.
In 2009, her training for the event was dramatically increased. She trained for an entire year versus just four months from her prior year. Her training implemented yoga and pilates and riding three to four times a week along sections used in the 1984 Olympic bike route in Mission Viejo.
This year Lorraine has prepared for the vigorous ride looking to overcome a few of lasts year’s obstacles, such as the back to back twin hills called the “evil twins.”
