The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

What Caused This Crash?

Based on this news report, it appears that the incident was triggered by a chain reaction crash that occurred at the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Chapman Avenue. There are still a number of unanswered questions here. What caused the collision? Did one vehicle rear-end the other? Did alcohol or drugs play a part? Was a driver distracted or speeding at the time? Did one of the drivers suffer a medical episode, causing this crash? We trust officials are looking into these and other issues in order to determine precisely what occurred here and why.
