What Caused This Fatal Crash?

Based on this news report, it appears that the motorcycle and car collided at an intersection, which is monitored by traffic lights. There are still several unanswered questions here. Who caused the collision? Did one of the vehicles fail to yield the right of way? Did the car make a left or U-turn in front of the vehicle? How fast were the vehicles traveling at the time of the collision? Did alcohol, drugs or distracted driving play a part? We trust officials are looking into these and other issues in order to determine precisely what occurred and why.

Fault and Liability

In such cases, the at-fault motorist may be held liable for the injuries, damages and losses caused. In cases where negligence or wrongdoing is involved, families of deceased victims can file what is known as a wrongful death lawsuit seeking compensation for damages such as medical expenses, funeral costs, lost future income, pain and suffering and loss of love and companionship.

An experienced Orange County personal injury lawyer will be able to provide competent and compassionate representation to families that have lost loved ones in Orange County car accidents while holding the at-fault parties responsible. A knowledgeable lawyer will also be able to determine whether a dangerous roadway condition caused or contributed to the incident. In such cases, the city or governmental agency responsible for maintaining the roadway can also be held liable.
