Worker Fatally Injured in Riverside Car Accident

A security company worker who was killed in a Riverside car accident has been identified by local officials as 62-year-old Paul John Rado. The Mountain News reports that Rado was on the job when he was driving a 2003 Ford Ranger pickup truck on the Highway 189, when he suddenly lost control and crashed, the morning of January 19, 2010. The truck rolled down an embankment and overturned. Rado was found by a co-worker who came looking for him when he did not return from his morning rounds. California Highway Patrol officials are looking into what caused this fatal car accident.

I offer my heartfelt sympathies to everyone who knew and loved Paul John Rado for their tragic loss. His grieving family will certainly be in my prayers.

Riverside Car Accidents

There were 144 deaths and 3,248 injuries reported in the unincorporated areas of Riverside County involving car accidents, according to CHP’s 2007 traffic accident statistics. Countywide, car accidents claimed 279 lives and injured 9,925 people during the same year.

Car Accident Causes

If this news report is accurate, it is not clear what caused Rado to lose control of his work truck. There are several unanswered questions here. This could have occurred as a result of a dangerous roadway condition or weather issues. A vehicle defect or a mechanical malfunction in his truck could have caused Rado to lose control and crash. He may have swerved and gone off the roadway trying to avoid debris. He may have been run off the roadway by another driver. I trust CHP investigators are looking into these factors and taking the autopsy results into consideration in order to determine what happened here.

An Experienced Injury Lawyer Can Help

In such cases, family of injured victims would be well-advised to consult with an experienced Riverside personal injury lawyer, who will stay on top of the official investigation and make sure their legal rights and best interests are protected. If there is a third-party claim here, because Rado was on-the-job at the time, an experienced injury lawyer will be able to help the family file the claim and obtain fair compensation for their losses.
