Police are asking the public to help identify a driver involved in a hit-and-run collision that killed 32-year-old Si Park.
According to a news report, Park was standing next to parked cars on Melrose Avenue near Edgemont Street early on the morning of Oct. 9 when he was struck by a car. Park was thrown into a parked vehicle and suffered major injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The vehicle that hit him did not stop at the scene.
Reward Offered
The suspect’s vehicle has been described as a black, 2- or 4-door sedan with tinted windows and is said to have continued eastbound on Melrose before turning south on Vermont Avenue. Anyone with information is asked to contact LAPD detectives at (213) 833-3713. Officials are offering a $50,000 reward for information about the suspect leading to his or her arrest and conviction. The investigation is ongoing.
