Three people sustained injuries in a Los Angeles car accident, which officials say, involved a hit-and-run driver. According to a news report in the Los Angeles Times, the injury car accident occurred at the intersection of 7th and Alvarado streets the morning of March 6, 2011. Police say the suspect was traveling west on 7th Street when his Hyundai collided with a black Toyota Prius that was going south on Alvarado Street.

Authorities say one of the drivers ran the red light, but are not sure which one did. The suspect got out of his Hyundai and fled the scene of the crash by boarding an MTA bus. The driver of the Prius and two other passengers were injured, but are expected to survive. An investigation is ongoing.

My heart goes out to the three injured victims of this hit-and-run car accident. I wish them the very best for a speedy and complete recovery.
