Fatal San Francisco Area Car Accident

By

Eddo Robbiyarto Accettola, 23, was killed in an August 16, 2009 San Francisco car accident after his motorcycle collided with a minivan that was pulling out of an overlook near Lake Sonoma, The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports. California Highway Patrol officials said alcohol was not a factor in the motorcycle crash. However, investigators are looking into whether Accettola was driving at an excessive speed at the time of the accident.

Second Motorcycle Accident In One Day

Accettola was pronounced dead at the scene. Apparently, this was the second major motorcycle accident in the area that day. In an unrelated accident, 51-year-old Vincent A. Garcia suffered major injuries after the motorcycle he was riding struck a Toyota Prius driven by 18-year-old Francisco Wonneberger on Highway 1 in Bodega Bay.

My heart goes out to the family and friends of Eddo Robbiyarto Accettola for their tragic and heartbreaking loss. I offer my deepest condolences to them. I also wish Vincent Garcia the very best for a speedy and complete recovery. Please keep them in your prayers.

San Francisco Car Accident Lawyer

In any car accident, it is important that a complete and thorough investigation be done before making conclusions. In the case of this fatal California car accident, it is not clear why the driver of the minivan did not see Accettola on his motorcycle. Of course, Accettola may have been traveling too fast on his motorcycle. But there is also the possibility of negligence on the part of the van driver. If I were a family member of a car accident victim, I’d definitely want to know if the other motorist was impaired, distracted or reckless at the time. I trust investigators are looking into this for the other motorcycle-car accident as well, involving Vincent Garcia and Francisco Wonneberger.

In such collisions, victims and/or their families would be well-advised to consult with an experienced San Francisco personal injury lawyer, who will analyze all aspects of the case and make sure the victims’ and their families’ rights are protected. The best personal injury law firms will always offer a free, comprehensive and confidential consultation to injury victims and/or their families.
