Three children were struck and injured in a Los Angeles car accident, which officials say, involved a hit-and-run driver. According to a City News Service report, the injury collision occurred the evening of October 29, 2011 in the 100 block of East 47th Street. Police say the three siblings – two boys, ages 4 and 6, and their sister, 11 – were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver left the scene of the crash without stopping or helping the injured children. Anyone with more information about the driver or the vehicle is asked to contact LAPD at 213-972-1853.

According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the injury crash occurred at the intersection of Magnolia Street and Chapman Avenue. Garden Grove police officials say the collision involved a Dodge Neon and a Chevrolet Suburban. Two of the victims were transported to a trauma center, while one was taken to a local hospital. Girl Injured in Anaheim Car Accident

An 11-year-old girl was seriously injured in an Anaheim car accident after she was struck by a vehicle while riding a scooter on a residential street. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the injury collision occurred the evening of October 25, 2011 near the intersection of Olive and North streets. Anaheim police say a Jeep traveling west on North Street hit the girl, who was riding the scooter near the Sabina Street intersection. The child was transported to an area trauma center. No one has been cited or arrested pending an official investigation.

Fontana Car Accident Claims Four Young Lives

Four Fontana teens – identified as Rebecca Garcia, 16, Javier T. Contreras, Pedro Rivera, and Raquel Garcia, all 18 – were killed in a San Bernardino car accident in the early hours of October 23, 2011. According to a news report in The San Bernardino County Sun, the fatal car accident occurred at the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Lime Avenue in Fontana. Contreras was driving a Chrysler Sebring east on Foothill when he lost control. The vehicle veered into the westbound lanes and struck a concrete bridge. The car then caught fire. Contreras and Rebecca Garcia died at the scene, while Rivera and Raquel Garcia died at area hospitals. All four were badly burned. Officials say it could take weeks or even months before the investigation is completed.

Anaheim Car Accident Kills Pedestrian

Larry Hallstrom, 57, was killed in an Anaheim car accident, which officials say involved a driver who was under the influence. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred early morning on October 22, 2011 in the 500 block of Beach Boulevard between Lincoln and Orange avenues. Officials say Hallstrom was crossing the roadway outside of a crosswalk and in traffic lanes when he was hit by a northbound 2000 Chevy S-10 pickup truck.

Hallstrom died at the scene. The driver of the pickup, 36-year-old Alexandro Cedillo, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and being under the influence of a controlled substance. Officials are also looking into whether other vehicles struck the pedestrian and left the scene. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Anaheim police at 714-765-1860.

Orange County Rollover Accident Leaves Two Injured

Two female drivers were injured in an Orange County car accident involving five vehicles, the morning of October 20, 2011. According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the car accident occurred in the southbound lanes of the 405 Freeway, near the 73 Freeway, in Costa Mesa. Officials say that a Toyota Solara was travelling at a high rate of speed before colliding with a Ford Explorer, a Lincoln limousine, an airport shuttle van and a Hyundai Tiberon. The Ford Explorer rolled over during the collision and the female driver was injured. The driver of the Solara was ejected from her vehicle during the collision. It is not clear if the driver of the Solara will be cited for the crash. An investigation is ongoing.

Investigators say the woman was driving the Ford Mustang south on McKinley, when a 2001 Chevy Tahoe, heading westbound on 54th Street, struck it. The driver of the Tahoe fled the scene. Retired Fire Chief Injured in Glendora Dog Attack

incident in Glendora, early morning on October 10, 2011. According to a news report in The San Gabriel Valley Tribune, Fonza was walking in the 1600 block of S. Sunflower Avenue when he was attacked by two pit bulls. Fonza told officials he fought the pit bulls for nearly four minutes with his walking stick. He sustained puncture wounds to his arms, legs, torso and groin and also suffered a separated or broken shoulder. Glendora Police Officer Matt Fenner who was on patrol at the time saw Fonza struggling with the dogs. He hit one of the dogs with his car and then shot and killed the other dog as it charged at him. The dog hit by the car also died shortly after the incident. Officials are still looking for the owner of the dogs.

According to a City News Service report, the fatal car crash occurred at the intersection of Adams Avenue and Bushard Street, the morning of October 7, 2011. Officials say a 2005 Mercedes-Benz stalled in traffic and three vehicles came to a stop behind it. It was then that a 2006 Mitsubishi Endeavor slammed into the back of the row of stopped cars. Six people were hospitalized in the chain reaction crash. The fatally injured woman was a passenger in a 2005 Toyota. It is unclear why the driver of the Mitsubishi was unable to stop in time to avoid the collision. An investigation is ongoing.

The Chrysler then crashed into the center divider and slid on its roof before catching on fire. With the help of several Good Samaritans, Taylor was able to escape her burning vehicle, but they could not rescue her 9-year-old daughter. The girl died from her injuries. Taylor was critically injured and is on a respirator.

The motorcyclist then swerved to avoid being hit by the SUV, but ended up crashing into the back of a Chevy Silverado pickup that had stopped in traffic lanes. The motorcyclist was transported to an area hospital for treatment. An investigation is ongoing.

Anaheim Car Accident Proves Fatal for Two Pedestrians

According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the fatal DUI collision occurred at a crosswalk on South Harbor Boulevard, the early morning of October 1, 2011. The driver of a Chevrolet Astro van hit the two pedestrians as they crossed the road in a crosswalk. A male teenager, whose age was given as under 18, told police he was driving the van.
