Consumer Product Safety Commission Announces Recall

The following is a guest blog from the Bailey law firm.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall this week of 73,500 units of spray-on fabric protector produced by Claire-Sprayway Inc. Overexposure to fumes, vapor or spray mist from the product can pose a serious respiratory hazard. Dangers of inhalation of fumes and particles have haunted the past decades of use of products--from insulation to paints to household sprays. Regulatory bodies have been slow to meet the safety challenges of modern industry. Litigation is often the only true regulation for consumer protection, but necessarily too late for those plaintiffs bringing to the court's attention the damages visited upon them by unreasonably dangerous products.
