Day Four of the AIDS/Lifecycle Event with Lorraine Glenn
After a day long day of aches, sweat, mental dehydration, the BISNAR | CHASE Newport Beach Personal Injury Lawyer's sponsored rider, Loree Glenn, passed the ALC halfway mark. Reaching the halfway point of her journey has made Loree realize how quickly this race has gone by. With only three days of riding left, Loree will be reaching the finish line soon.
The ride on day four brought an unexpected scare for Loree and her tent mate. While on their ride Loree's tent mate pushed herself over the edge and wound up completely dehydrated. She was rushed to an on-site medical tent staffed by doctors and nurses. Doctors and staff members put her on IV fluids and prescribed her rest until she can safely ride again.
Loree's greatest challenge of day four was two giant back to back hills she calls the "Evil Twins." These monstrous hills have been a challenge for Loree and other riders in past years. When Loree reached the top she said she was filled with "overwhelming joy."
Throughout Loree's ride she was able to experience a variety of beautiful scenery. Her journey led her through spacious fields of farmland, ocean views and even a few seaside towns.
Loree's mileage for day four is an astonishing 97.7 miles. Starting in the wee hours of the morning she left from Paso Robles to arrive at base camp in Santa Maria (as seen in map above). Supporting Loree's efforts to raise money for HIV/AIDS, the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center and the San Francisco AIDS Foundation has been a privilege for all of us at BISNAR | CHASE. The entire staff is so proud of Loree and are all cheering her on.
