A number of recent accident reports around the country involving Tesla Cybertrucks, including one here in Southern California, raise questions about the vehicle’s safety.

Following the recent release of the show-stopping Tesla Cybertruck, some safety experts have raised concerns about the vehicle. Most notably, they fear that the vehicle’s shape and lack of “crumple zones” could put drivers, passengers, and other road users at risk in the event of an accident. Concerns have also been raised about the truck’s sightlines.

Tesla is recalling nearly all of the vehicles it has sold in the United States because some warning lights on the instrument panel are too small. The Tesla recall includes more than 2.2 million vehicles, such as the S, Y, and the Cybertruck, due to the size of their warning lights.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Tesla owners may face a double whammy. In addition to the issue with warning lights, reports of steering problems may lead to the recall of a further 334,000 Tesla vehicles. Continue reading →

Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun has acknowledged errors by the U.S. airplane manufacturer as more than 170 jets have remained grounded for days in a row.

According to news reports, pressure has been mounting on Boeing and its subcontractor after a panel blew out leaving a gaping hole in an Alaska Airlines plane in early January 2024. A man was critically injured after he was struck while crossing a street in Perris.

According to a report in The Press-Enterprise, the major injury pedestrian accident occurred on the night of Aug. 15 at Orange Avenue and Redlands Avenue. Riverside County Sheriff’s Department officials said the man was walking west on Orange and tried to cross Redlands when a gray sedan going northbound struck him. Stanley Isaacs, 60, was killed in a Laguna Beach pedestrian accident on Aug. 11 after an 18-year-old driver struck Isaacs and his wife in a lighted crosswalk on South Coast Highway.

A suspected drunk driver from Santa Ana ran a red light in Lake Elsinore and caused a crash that left one person dead and two others injured on the night of Aug. 13.

According to a news report in The Orange County Register, the driver fled the scene of the fatal crash before being arrested. The collision occurred at the intersection of Lake Street and Grand Avenue. A woman died from injuries she suffered in a truck accident on state Highway 12 in Santa Rosa on the morning of Aug. 10.

According to a report on Patch.com, the fatal crash involved a box truck, the woman’s Nissan Versa, and four other cars at the Dutton Avenue off-ramp.
